About The Battalion

Edinburgh, Leith and District Battalion was founded on the 1st September 1998 through the mergers of Edinburgh and Leith Battalions. Edinburgh, Leith & District Battalion, incorporates the City of Edinburgh, Midlothian and East Lothian Council Areas. We have 37 local Companies that make up the Battalion, with each of these groups being attached to a local church. We have 1100 Boy members and 300 volunteer adult leaders/helpers who give of their time freely each week.

The Boys' Brigade works with Boys from Primary 2 to Secondary 6, in 3 distinct Sections, specifically working with a particular age range.
