The Company Section offers a programme that is full and varied, with activities
to suit all levels of ability. The aim is to promote co-operation
and teamwork, whilst at the same time allowing
Boys to be individuals. These activities will be
suited for the individual Boy’s own level of
ability. The Company Section Awards Scheme
is made up of 5 core elements. These are:
This scheme actively encourages Boys to explore and learn new activities and to learn
individually from this as a whole person. Physical activities feature in our programme
and these are aimed at the ability of all Boys. Boys can work towards advanced awards,
such as the Queen’s Badge (top award a Boy can be awarded) and there may be the
chance to undertake the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. On a Battalion basis we hold
events and competitions which Boys can take part in. We have a football league and
there will be a chance to meet with Boys from Edinburgh and the surrounding area.
There may also be the chance for Boys to go away for a weekend as a group.
